Mobility Vehicles
I am concerned about the misuse of a mobility vehicle!?
Non driving granny has a mobility car…grandson is a named driver…grandson uses the car on a full time basis for him and his girlfriends,and in pursuance of his regular work the car is not parked at the grans place of residence, but in the town two miles away…granny gets a visit on only rare occasions..which i think is a bluff…Is this misuse of mobility monies legitimate?….Ferdy with thanks.
There is a simple rule that applies to cars supplied by Motability and to cars that are registered as a disabled vehicle with the D.V.L.A..
The car must only be used “for and behalf of the disabled person”.
In the case you mention there is a clear abuse of the Motability and car taxation rules and should be immediately reported to Motability.
